About Company

The Norwegian Refugee Council is an independent humanitarian organization dedicated to helping people forced to flee their homes.

We operate in crises across more than 30 countries, delivering life-saving assistance and supporting displaced communities to rebuild their futures. Our work includes camp management, food assistance, clean water, shelter, legal aid, and education—where needs are greatest.

Since our founding after World War II, humanitarian needs have remained critical. Today, we continue to protect and advocate for displaced people, promoting their rights and dignity at local, national, and international levels.

Our Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre in Geneva is a global leader in tracking and reporting on internal displacement. Through NORCAP, our standby roster of 1,000 experts, we provide rapid support to the UN and local authorities during emergencies.

With around 15,000 staff—most hired locally—we assisted 9.1 million people worldwide in 2019. Many of our colleagues were once displaced themselves. Today, a record 79.5 million people are fleeing war and persecution—the highest number since World War II.

With your support, we can reach even more people in need.
