1. Organizational Overview

2. Position Objective

The Accountant & Finance Officer will manage the organization’s accounting and financial operations. This role ensures accurate financial records, effective budget control, policy compliance, and timely reporting to support management decisions and organizational growth.

3. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and financial books.
  • Record daily financial transactions, including income, expenses, and journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Perform bank, cash, and petty cash reconciliations.
  • Support payroll preparation and statutory deductions.
  • Prepare, monitor, and report on budgets and cash flow.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of all financial records.

4. Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in accounting and financial management.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Proven proficiency in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

5. Reporting Line

The Accountant & Finance Officer will report directly to the Operations Manager.

6. Contract Duration and Compensation

  • Contract Duration: 12 months, renewable based on performance.
  • Compensation: Competitive salary, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
